Eric L Bischoff, DMD
Oral Surgeon in San Diego
Dr. Bischoff grew up in Spokane, WA. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, with honors from the University of California at Los Angeles in 2004. After graduation, he worked as a chemist for the Henkel Corporation in Irvine, CA before going onto dental school at the Goldman School of Dental Medicine at Boston University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Doctorate of Medicine in Dentistry in 2009.
In December of 2010, Dr. Bischoff was commissioned as an officer in the United States Navy Dental Corps. After three years as a general dentist, he attended residency at Texas A&M College of Dentistry in Dallas, TX where he earned his advanced certificate in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2016.
Upon completion of his residency, he received orders to the largest, forward-deployed overseas naval hospital in Okinawa, Japan. There served as staff Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and department head. During his tenure in Okinawa, he achieved board certification through the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and was published in the Atlas of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Clinics of North America. In addition, he was selected as a reviewer for the journal Head and Neck Pathology.
His next assignment was at the Naval Medical Center San Diego where he was the Program Director for the Navy’s Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency in San Diego. Dr. Bischoff is married with three children and enjoys the many wonderful outdoor activities that Southern California has to offer.
